Advanced Diploma in International Hospitality and Tourism Management
Programme Introduction
The Advanced Diploma in International Hospitality and Tourism Management builds students’ confidence in the hospitality, attractions and tourism industry, as well as to develop their supervisory skills.
Students will gain knowledge in areas such as Human Resource Management and Cross-Culture, Cruise Management, Special Events Management, Events and Conventions Management, Food Service Management, and Sustainable Management.
Students will complete a 6-months industrial attachment with either our overseas or local partners.
Upon completion of the Diploma programme, students will be able to advance to Bachelor and Master programmes.
Programme Objective
- To equip graduates with the advanced knowledge and skills, so that they can be effective and productive contributors to the industry.
- To develop in students a deep appreciation of the roles and responsibilities of supervisory functions in the organisation.
- To prepare students through practical training before going for industrial attachment.
Modules
The module aims to equip students with the abilities and skills to adapt and manage an increasingly diverse and competitive business environment. Topics include the strategic role of human resource management; diversity management; job analysis and job design; human resource planning; and recruiting, screening and selection of candidates; interviewing candidates; orientation, training and development; compensation, incentives and benefits; evaluating and appraising employee performance; and organizational culture and change and cross-cultural issues.
Full-time: 6 months + 6 months internship
Part-time: 6 months + 6 months internship

*The program is a face-to-face program, in view of Covid-19 and travel/border restriction, the program is delivered face to face or on blended mode in Singapore.
Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level.
Graduation Requirement
• Must passed all modules
• Must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student) and 75% (Local Student)
Minimum Age Requirement: 17 years (at the time of application)
Relevant EAIM Diploma
or
Polytechnic Diploma
or
LCCI Diploma Level 4
or
Equivalent academic qualification from a recognized higher learning institution
Minimum EAIM ETEDP Level 2 / IELTS 5.5 / GCE O-Level C6 (For mature students who do not meet the above minimum academic entry requirements but have prior learning or work experience in the relevant fields, please contact EAIM for consultation.)

The curriculum is taught over 4 terms of 12 months. Modules are conducted in formal instructor-led classrooms sessions. Each term will cover 3 modules with 6 contact hours per module; Lecture is a 3-hour session and Tutorial is a 3-hour session per week. Students will undergo pre-industrial attachment training alongside taught classes. Upon completion of the taught modules, students will need to complete a 6-month industrial attachment programme.
