This subject aims to develop students’ productive and receptive language skills to support them in becoming proficient users of the English Language. Students are encouraged to apply language skills for effective communication and will be exposed to different genres of text to develop an appreciation of the English Language.

This subject aims to develop students’ key language skills to enable them to become proficient users of the Chinese Language. Students will also be exposed to different types of texts in order to develop language skills and a better understanding and appreciation of the Chinese Language and culture.

This subject aims to provide students with core mathematics knowledge and to develop mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills for continuous learning in mathematics and also other relevant subjects. Students also develop metacognitive and reasoning skills to be applied not just within mathematics but also other subjects.

This subject prepares students for their future study at General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A-Level) Mathematics. They will acquire a strong foundation in algebraic manipulation skills and mathematical reasoning skills. Along with Elementary Mathematics, these 2 subjects will equip students with the necessary mathematical concepts and skills for continuous learning in Mathematics and related Disciplines.

Our IGCSE Physics programme helps to build a strong foundation in core Physics principles and concepts. Students develop the right concepts so that they can confidently work out their solutions from first principles and apply them to real world situations. Students thus understand how Physics concepts relate to daily phenomena occurring around them, and better appreciate their importance and relevance in real life.

Under this programme, students study Biology, Chemistry and Physics, each covered in separate syllabi sections. It is a single award qualification, earning one grade. Students gain an understanding of the basic principles of each subject through a mix of theoretical and practical studies, while also developing an understanding of the scientific skills essential for further study. The course helps students to understand the technological world in which they live, and take an informed interest in science and scientific developments.

Business Studies programme will give students the best possible preparation for a successful exposure in a wide range of industries. Students will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the business concepts and principles associated with the broader discipline including how the major types of business organisation are established, financed and run, and how their activities are regulated. Factors influencing business decision-making are also factored in.

The programme encourages learners to develop lifelong skills, which will be useful to them in their work across the curriculum and prepare them for future employment. They will develop understanding of the implications of technology in society, including social, economic and ethical uses and have an awareness of how ICT can support learning at home and at the workplace.

This subject aims to develop the necessary skills and competences to prepare, communicate and use accounting information appropriately. Students will be exposed to accounting knowledge and how it is applied in various situations. This subject will also equip students with basic skills to record and report accounting information.

Students look at some of the major international issues of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, as well as cover the history of particular regions in more depth. The emphasis is on both historical knowledge and on the skills required for historical research. Students develop an understanding of the nature of cause and effect, continuity and change, similarity and difference and find out how to use and understand historical evidence as part of their studies. The programme will stimulate any learner already interested in history, provide a basis for further study, and also encourage a lifelong interest in the subject. Both coursework and non-coursework options are available.

The programme aims to encourage a personal response by stimulating imagination, sensitivity, conceptual thinking, powers of observation and analytical ability. Students gain confidence and enthusiasm as they develop technical skills in two and three dimensional form and composition, and are able to identify and solve problems in visual and tactile forms. They also learn how to develop ideas from initial attempts to final solutions. An ideal foundation for further study, the programme also develops a greater awareness of the role played by the visual arts in society and in history, broadening cultural horizons and individual experience.

Students will develop a 'sense of place' from a feeling of connectedness to a specific geographic area by examining the world around them. Students will study a range of natural and man-made environments on a local, regional and global scale, and study some of the processes which affect their development. They will also look at the ways in which people interact with their environments, the opportunities and challenges an environment can present, thereby gaining a deeper insight into the different communities and cultures that exist around the world.
