The QS star rating is an internationally-recognised mark of quality in which education experts rate universities across a broad range of criteria.

De Montfort University (DMU) joins 15 other universities in the UK and just over 100 universities worldwide in being granted the 5-star accolade.

DMU not only got a 5-star ‘excellent’ rating overall but also scored the maximum five stars in key criteria including teaching, employability, internationalisation, academic development and facilities.

QS says a university with the 5-star rating ‘is generally world class in almost all categories. Such institutions enjoy a high reputation internationally, attracting a high number of international students from all over the world.
